General Information for
Prospective New Members
Membership
Dues beginning April 1, 2008 are $150.00
Dues are payable on April 1st of each year. Dues will be prorated
for new members. Applicants applying for membership prior to October
1 of the year shall pay the full years dues. Applicants applying on
or after October 1 shall pay $75.00 of the annual dues. If you wish
to join Sections of the Association after your application for
membership is approved, their respective dues will be extra. Should
you apply for membership and be approved, a letter from our
President describes the various committees and sections will be
forthcoming.
To be eligible for membership in the Association:
To be eligible, you
must currently be admitted to practice law in Georgia and
maintain
your law office
or have a significant practice or legal residence
in Cobb County. You must also, of course, agree to abide by the
by-laws and other rules of the Association.
To apply for membership in the Association:
To apply for membership you need to complete an application form and
return it to the Association’s Office Administrator along with your
check. Your check, made payable to the Cobb County Bar Association,
will be submitted to the Board of Trustees of the Association for
its review and approval; however, your remittance will be returned
to you if, for any reason your application is not approved, you will
be notified and your name will be placed on our membership rolls and
mailing list. Remember these two items: (1) completed application
(2) check for the appropriated amount of $150.
