At the State Bar of Georgia Spring meeting, the  rule proposal regarding professional liability insurance was presented to the Board of Governors. What ensued at this meeting was a lengthy debate and discussion regarding making it mandatory for Georgia attorneys to carry professional liability insurance. Due to the discussion points raised at the Spring meeting, no vote was taken. However, it will be addressed again and with all probability a vote taken on June 7, 2019 when the Board of Governors meets in Orlando. As your Board of Governor representatives, we want and need to hear your voice on these proposed rule changes.

At noon on Thursday May 9th in the Superior Court Jury Assembly Room, there will be a Town Hall Meeting hosted by Cobb Board of Governor Delegation to listen to your thoughts so that we may best represent you June 7th. Please grab a take-out lunch somewhere, bring it with you and join us at this meeting as this is a potential vote that may change the way you practice law in the future.

Sincerely,

The Cobb County Bar Association Board of Governor Delegation

The Honorable David Darden, Pat Head, Dawn Levine, Bill Gentry, Laura Murphree,
Ron Lowry, Katie Leonard
